The ideal candidate will have a successful record in mediation and trial experience and possess strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills. This position requires a proactive individual capable of managing a busy schedule, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the firm's growth through marketing and community engagement.Duties:Mediate and litigate employment law cases successfully.Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal issues.Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.Market personal and firm services to prospective clients.Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies in preparation for litigation.Exercise due diligence in all legal matters.Maintain strong communication and advocacy skills, including empathetic listening.Manage a schedule to allow for client consultations and closures to meet production/collection objectives.Achieve consult closure rates within the firm's range of 30-50%, depending on the practice area.Approve invoices timely to ensure business health on a monthly cycle.Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.Update client communication (CC) with fees, engagements, trust, client information, and invoices accurately and completely.Share work tasks with other attorneys and support staff to meet community service objectives.Engage in brand expansion through blogs, social media posts, board, and organization participation.Seek positive client feedback and star reviews from successful engagements.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Requirements:Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar.5+ years of experience as an employment attorney.Significant and successful trial experience.Proven mediation experience.Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Competence in empathetic listening.Ability to manage a busy schedule and meet production/collection objectives.Proficiency in performing due diligence and discovery processes.Capable of actively engaging in marketing and community involvement.Education:Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.Certifications:Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar.Skills:Strong mediation and trial skills.Excellent legal research and analytical skills.Proficient in writing legal documents and correspondence.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Competent in empathetic listening and client advocacy.Ability to manage schedules and meet objectives.Proficiency in performing due diligence and discovery.Active engagement in marketing and community activities.Benefits Offered:Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Retirement: 401(k) plan with company matching.Paid Time Off: Unlimited PTO for Vacation/Sick days.Paid Federal Holidays: Coverage of all federal holidays.Paid Volunteer Time Off: Up to 16 hours annually.
