Position: Library Page (Part-Time: 10 hours per week) Location: Carbondale Branch Library, Garfield County, Colorado Job Description: As a Library Page, you'll play a vital role in our dedicated team, responsible for seamlessly organizing our library's vast collection of materials. From captivating books to engaging DVDs and much more, your expertise in the renowned Dewey Decimal System will create a mesmerizing library environment. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that damaged materials are promptly addressed, ensuring that our valued community enjoys a top-notch library every single day. Key Responsibilities: Organize and shelve library materials using the Dewey Decimal System. Assist patrons, find resources, and provide exceptional service. Maintain a well-organized and inviting library space. Handle damaged materials promptly and efficiently. Requirements: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and thrive in a self-motivated environment. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required. Library Core Competencies: Customer Service: Treat all staff, patrons, visitors, and vendors with respect and courtesy. Adaptability/Flexibility: Open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, and adjusts work priorities to meet changing needs. Initiative: Tackles problems independently, seeks out new responsibilities, and generates new ideas. Teamwork: Offer help to colleagues, listen to others, and promote an inclusive atmosphere. Communication Skills: Possess good verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate active listening. Integrity: Comply with rules, regulations, and policies, and complete assigned work with minimal supervision. Library Page Core Competencies: Attention to Detail: Thorough and accurate in all assignments, maintaining a high degree of quality in work. Integrity: Compliance with rules, regulations, and policies, staying on task even without direct supervision. Time Management: Uses time effectively and efficiently to accomplish tasks. Compensation and Benefits: Hourly range: $14.42 - $18.27 (pay depends on library-specific experience). Part-time schedule with 10 hours per week. Paid holidays and paid time off.
