Entry level position with on:the:job training starting at 26.94/hour. Annual and step progression wage increases based on current union and company contractual agreement. Requires a valid California Driver's License with minimal moving violations, a high school diploma, or the equivalent. A California State Water Resources Control Board Distribution Certificate 1 is desired but not required upon hire. If an applicant is hired or a current employee is transferred into this roll, employee must obtain a minimum of a California State Water Resource Control Board Distribution Certificate 1 within one year. Examples of Duties Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, performs duties such as the following depending upon the assignment: :Drive a company vehicle.:Read, troubleshoot, repair, install, replace and test water meters.:Initiate and terminate water services. :Provide superior customer service with customers face to face or over the phone while responding to customer inquiries/complaints.:Works with various equipment including meter reading devices, cell phones, laptops, and larger construction equipment. :Special projects and assignments as required. Nature of Work Position requires the ability to work with little direct on:site supervision. A portion of the position is sedentary driving a company vehicle.
